Trading seven days, the venue is a go‑to destination for office regulars, food and coffee lovers, and weekend brunch locals alike, supported by a strong seasonal brunch offering and a dynamic coffee program

About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Barista to lead coffee operations at our York St venue.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for a coffee professional who values quality, consistency, and team development. You’ll take ownership of coffee standards, lead from the bar during service, and work closely with venue leadership and our roasting team to continually elevate the coffee experience.

What you’ll do

• Lead, train, and develop a high‑performing barista team
• Own coffee quality: dial‑in, extraction, recipes, and service standards
• Lead shifts confidently, supporting the team during peak periods
• Manage the coffee program in collaboration with the Industry Beans roastery
• Oversee bar setup, cleanliness, equipment care, stock, and wastage
• Engage with customers and handle coffee feedback professionally
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning
• This is an ongoing permanent role which can be Casual, Part-time or Full-time for the right candidate

About you

• 2–3+ years’ experience in specialty coffee, with leadership experience
• Strong technical coffee skills and excellent latte art
• Confident training and coaching baristas at all levels
• Calm, clear communicator who leads by example
• Comfortable working weekdays and weekends (including Sundays)
• Looking for growth and development
