The Senior BPO Bank Reconciliation Analyst is the subject matter expert for reconciliation and treasury tasks and serves as the first stop resource for other analysts on the team. Major responsibilities include training staff on departmental processes, researching and responding to advanced internal inquiries. In addition to supporting members of the team the Senior Analyst will individually contribute to the more complicated weekly and monthly reconciliations of financial accounts. This position monitors quality metrics and KPIs, and provides recommendations to management to improve upon these metrics. Applicants should possess strong analytical skills in order to independently navigate and reconcile financial data across different systems. The position requires daily interaction with internal team members across various departments and a curious problem-solving mindset.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for individually completing complex reconciliations and assisting other analysts in their day-to-day tasks
- Completes reconciliations and analysis using Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI, and other tools as needed
- Recommends and communicates additional process improvement controls as identified
- Work closely with the BPO Bank Reconciliation Manager to create and execute a training plan with team members
- Identifies and effectively communicates errors to appropriate departments (AR/AP, Stoploss, Finance, etc) and follows through to ensure errors are corrected in a timely fashion
- Assists management with implementing improvement process improvement action plans
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 3-6 years’ experience in a banking, finance or accounting role
- Experience using full Microsoft Office suite required
- Microsoft Excel skills required
- Microsoft Access experience a plus
- Microsoft Dynamic Great Plains experience a plus
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to retain and understand concepts presented via verbal and written communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on process improvement
