This senior-level role offers the opportunity to apply deep technical expertise to the design, integration, and hands-on implementation of enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions supporting a Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC).
You will help deliver secure, resilient, and automated data protection capabilities across Enterprise Core Services (ECS), Client Provisioning Services (CPS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Service Management Control (SMC). Working closely with infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams, you will support the full delivery lifecycle—from solution design and integration through site deployment, testing, disaster recovery validation, and customer acceptance.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with international customers and technical partners, with approximately 25% travel to The Hague, Netherlands, and other NATO locations as needed to support solution integration, implementation, testing, and customer acceptance. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, integration, and hands-on implementation of enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions supporting VMware private cloud SDDC modernization initiatives.
Lead the implementation and integration of Rubrik Security Cloud -Private data protection solutions supporting mission-critical workloads and services.
Develop secure, resilient data protection strategies supporting Enterprise Core Services (ECS), Client Provisioning Services (CPS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Service Management Control (SMC).
Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, storage, cybersecurity, and DevOps engineering teams to integrate enterprise backup and recovery capabilities into platform solutions.
Develop automation for backup provisioning, policy management, recovery workflows, and configuration management using scripting, APIs, and or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
Design and validate disaster recovery, cyber recovery, backup restoration, and business continuity capabilities supporting mission-critical platforms.
Develop and maintain backup architectures, engineering designs, implementation plans, recovery procedures, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, technical reviews, engineering design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Mentor customer engineers and provide technical guidance on enterprise backup, cyber resilience, secure data protection, and recovery best practices.
Travel to NATO sites to install, configure, integrate, validate, test, and troubleshoot enterprise backup and recovery solutions while supporting deployment, disaster recovery validation, and customer acceptance activities.
Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, technical planning, cyber resilience strategy, and proposal development activities.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
Active NATO Secret clearance (or higher).
Automation and API first demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Working knowledge of Rubrik Security Cloud -Private backup and recovery platform, including deployment, configuration, integration, backup policy management, and recovery operations.
Experience designing and integrating backup and recovery solutions supporting VMware-based private cloud and virtualized environments.
Strong understanding of disaster recovery, cyber resilience, immutable backup, ransomware protection, and business continuity principles.
Experience integrating backup solutions with enterprise storage, virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure platforms.
Experience implementing automation using scripting, APIs, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, storage, virtualization, networking, and enterprise cybersecurity practices.
Experience operating within Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps delivery frameworks.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical collaboration skills.
Experience supporting defense, government, or highly regulated development environments.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
Rubrik Certified Professional (RCP) or equivalent certification.
VMware certification (VCP or equivalent).
Experience supporting NATO environments and compliance frameworks.
Working knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication or equivalent enterprise backup platforms.
Experience with immutable backup architectures, cyber recovery vaults, and enterprise ransomware recovery strategies.
Familiarity with cloud-native backup technologies and hybrid cloud data protection.
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure modernization and enterprise platform engineering initiatives.

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
