We at Coforge are hiring Senior Backend Engineer (Python/AWS) (#20841) with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable distributed backend systems using Python, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Build and optimize cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services including Lambda, SQS, S3, CloudFormation, and CDK while ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and integrate APIs, specialized databases, and observability solutions while ensuring secure authentication, fault handling, and operational excellence.
• Drive software engineering best practices across the SDLC, including requirements gathering, testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and continuous platform improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Python backend development, clean coding principles, exception handling, and software engineering best practices.
• Proven experience designing microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong AWS experience including Lambda, SQS, S3, CloudFormation, CDK, and cloud-native backend services.
• Hands-on experience with databases and specialized storage engines such as Elasticsearch, AWS Neptune, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
• Strong experience integrating APIs, including authentication mechanisms, fault tolerance, and resilient service communication.
• Experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, logic validation, and software quality practices.
• Experience with observability and monitoring using ELK/Elastic Stack for logs, troubleshooting, and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and end-to-end software delivery from requirements to production monitoring.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with FinOps concepts, cloud cost optimization, and AWS resource management.
• Experience with cloud-native observability and performance optimization strategies.
• Exposure to scalable distributed architectures and modern DevOps practices.
