Their AI-first platform consolidates compliance software functionality onto a single modern platform, helping fintechs, private funds, and wealth managers cut compliance tasks from days to hours.
They’ve raised $4.8M from top-tier investors including YC and General Catalyst, have hundreds of financial firms already onboard, and are one of the fastest-growing startups in their batch This is an opportunity to join a small, ambitious team (currently ~10 employees) and have a major impact on a product that’s reshaping a $100B+ industry.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
Design, build, and scale secure, high-performance backend systems on AWS
Develop and maintain data infrastructure that supports large-scale data ingestion and processing
Collaborate closely with product, design, and data science teams to bring new features to life
Implement and optimize AI-based coding tools to enhance system performance
Take full ownership over the systems and features you build
Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and security
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy in a fast-paced startup environment
Must-Haves:
2–5 years of professional backend or full-stack engineering experience
Strong experience architecting secure and scalable systems in AWS
Deep experience with data-intensive or data-heavy backend applications
Strong skills in Node.js, Infrastructure-as-Code, and building scalable data infrastructure
Knowledge of AI and machine learning algorithms and experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferably from a top 50 school)
US Citizen or already authorized to work in the US
Willingness to work on-site in NYC (5 days/week)
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with search systems (e.g. OpenSearch)
Experience as an early-stage startup employee or founder
Previous work in Series B–D stage AI or data-heavy startups
Node.js, React, Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, AWS, OpenSearch, Claude Code, Infrastructure as Code
Salary: $160K – $220K
