As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to their customers, while scaling their platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.
Developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions;
Developing unit, component, and integrated tests with the guidance of the team's QA - you can expect to execute the full software development lifecycle;
Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code to solve business needs and deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform;
Testing and documenting the implemented solutions will be a big part of your day-to-day;
Mentoring other developers, peer programming, and guiding them on the tasks;
Availability for on-call responsibilities.
At least 5 years of professional experience with Java;
Previous team management experience;
Experience with some or all of the following technologies: Scala; Kafka; Akka; Memcached; Apache Storm; Apache Cassandra; Zookeeper; RabbitMQ.
Strong understanding of client–server protocols such as SOAP and REST;
Experience with design patterns, and encourage the use of reusability techniques;
Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese;
Ability to guide junior team members and foster knowledge sharing;
Collaboration and adaptability within multidisciplinary teams.
