We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-impact product features and backend systems. This role blends strong software engineering fundamentals with product-focused thinking, enabling the delivery of scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that directly support business objectives.You will work within cross-functional teams alongside Product Managers and Designers to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations, contributing to both system architecture and product innovation

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with at least one backend language, preferably Java.
• Experience with the Java ecosystem (Spring Boot, Micronaut preferred)
• Experience with component-based or microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of database design and data modeling
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit)
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Git/GitHub
  • JIRA, Confluence
  • CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven experience collaborating in cross-functional product teams

Nice to Have Skills

• 9+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience in fast-growing or startup environments
• Contributions to open source projects or an active GitHub/Stack Overflow presence
• Strong understanding of product-driven development practices
• Experience with other backend languages like C# or Python

• Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design principles
• Effective time management and the ability to handle competing priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
