What You Will Do
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python and FastAPI to support a growing user base.
- Develop and maintain robust databases with PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities using OpenAI technologies.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on GCP for reliability and efficiency in application deployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backend services to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 6+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on Python and FastAPI.
- Proficient in database management, particularly with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with AI integration, particularly using OpenAI technologies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React to facilitate better collaboration with frontend teams.
- Previous work in the consumer tech sector, particularly in applications involving user engagement.
- Knowledge of best practices in software development and agile methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from $200K to $275K, complemented by competitive equity options between 0.5% and 1%. This company offers a vibrant work environment with opportunities for professional growth and innovation.
