As our company continues to grow, an exciting opportunity awaits for a dynamic individual to join our R&D team as a Backend Engineer. We are seeking an experienced software engineer with strong experience in building scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services and APIs that power Trullion’s platform. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on backend architecture, system design, integrations (including AI/LLM where relevant), data pipelines, and production-grade services. You’ll collaborate closely with product, AI, and infrastructure teams to help shape the core engineering foundation of our products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and distributed systems to support high performance, reliability, and growth
• Architect and implement scalable data pipelines, background jobs, queuing or event systems (e.g., message brokers)
• Ensure robust and maintainable systems with strong attention to observability, testing, error handling, and performance
• Collaborate closely with product and AI teams to integrate backend services with AI/ML capabilities and business logic
• Drive high-impact engineering decisions, contribute to technical design discussions, and implement solutions end-to-end
• Maintain and improve backend code quality, standards, testing strategy, and system documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and scaling production grade backend systems
• Deep expertise in backend development using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django/DRF, FastAPI, etc.).
• Strong systems design skills - distributed systems, microservices, async processing, APIs, data modeling (SQL/NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD, and monitoring/observability
• Excellent engineering fundamentals, problem solving, and communication -able to work collaboratively across disciplines
