About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) You will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend services deployed on Cloud Run, integrating GraphQL (Strawberry), and building event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub

This role requires strong system design skills, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and maintain GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
• Deploy and manage containerized services on Google Cloud Run
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven systems using Google Pub/Sub
• Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs with performance and security best practices
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI
• Experience building GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with asynchronous programming in Python
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization (OAuth2, JWT)
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving and system design skills

• Experience with Kubernetes
