My responsibilities:

Join ALDI’s digital transformation journey! We’re looking for a Java Developer to help design and implement robust, scalable solutions for our business-critical systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe, ensuring our software ecosystem supports ALDI’s continued success.

• Design and implement cloud-native Spring Boot services hosted on Azure
• Work closely with product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to define scalable and maintainable solutions
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security for mission-critical applications
• Guide development teams through architectural decisions and best practices
• Support integration with existing enterprise systems in a brownfield environment
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and cloud migration initiatives

The knowledge I own:

• Strong experience in backend development with Java, preferably with Spring Boot or Quarkus
• Experience with microservices and containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Understanding of Cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Keycloak is a strong plus
• Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Fluency in English
• 5+ years professional experience
