Position Title: Senior Backend Developer

What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Modernization Engineer to lead the transformation of a large-scale legacy application into a modern, scalable, event-driven platform. This role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern software architecture practices, with a strong focus on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Development (EDD), cloud-native solutions, and application modernization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can analyze complex legacy systems, design modern architectures, optimize database performance, and drive development initiatives independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Microsoft technologies.
Strong expertise in C# and modern software development practices.
Experience working with legacy .NET Framework applications and modernization initiatives.
Solid understanding and practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Hands-on experience implementing Event-Driven Architecture and asynchronous messaging solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including:
Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
Stored procedures
Query optimization
Performance tuning
Indexing strategies
Database design
Experience with AWS cloud services, including:
Experience working with message brokers, service brokers, or enterprise messaging platforms.
Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and distributed systems concepts.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience modernizing monolithic applications into service-oriented or event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and serverless architectures.
Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions.
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation practices.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
