In this role you will work on various development projects focused on delivering new and updated features for players, Paradox game studios, and internal tools. You will be part of a team tasked with designing, building, and shaping the effort in realizing features which enrich our Paradox ecosystem. This also means that you will be working closely with all of the Paradox game development studios, as well as the publishing organization, in order to maximize the consumption of our services to guarantee we continue delivering Paradox signature experiences.
Help the Product Owner, by providing technical expertise, in establishing, defining and ongoing refinement of the Product Roadmap.
Collaborating with Technical Leader in the successful delivery of the committed tasks
Working with Team members, contribute to the satisfactory resolution of all Stories in the Product Backlog.
Working with the Management, ensure your expectations align with Paradoxes expectations and values.
The Developer will report to his/her Manager
The Developer helps the Product Management understand the technical requirements for completing tasks
Consultation and collaboration in achieving the committed goals of the Team
Synchronize daily with the Technical Lead to report on the progress of committed tasks
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Generalized JavaScript development in frontend and backend.
Build and maintain JavaScript services, scripts, and cloud functions
Build and maintain internal JavaScript libraries and utilities.
Maintain current and develop new products and/or services applicable to the Employees Team
Provide internal support for the teams services
Experience with NodeJS.
Experience with modern JavaScript (ES2018+).
Experience with databases (SQL, non-relational dbs like DynamoDB).
Experience running services on cloud providers like AWS or GCP
Experience with containers or containerised setups
General understanding of best practices for data caching and writing APIs.
General understanding of how backend APIs work (CRUD, REST, etc.).
General understanding of authentication standards (OIDC / OAuth)
Test-oriented mindset with unit and/or integration tests written using standard libraries
An understanding of and practical experience with Agile methodologies.
Excellent English communication skills

Experience in C++, C#, Typescript, React, Go and/or Python
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Experience with distributed systems non-monolithic services
Scope: Full-time and permanent, with a 6 months probation period
