
General description
For a public healthcare data initiative in Belgium, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help build a shared modern data platform for exchanging high-quality health-related information. Existing local data solutions and expertise will converge into a cloud-based analytics environment on Azure Databricks, creating a consistent and reliable data foundation.
This role is central to the development of several key platform components, including a data validation engine and a master/reference data hub. The position combines data engineering, application development, REST API development, Azure Databricks, Python, SQL Server and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Data Architect, Data Functional Analysts and other data teams involved in the initiative.

Technical skills
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build and support data integration, master data and data quality solutions, including data hubs, REST connectors and validation components. You will also contribute to testing, documentation, user support and agile delivery across the full lifecycle of the platform.
