Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 6 Months

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and observability frameworks. This role focuses on designing and building an automation engine that enforces access, compliance, and observability across engineering platforms.
You will work with structured team descriptors (YAML/JSON) and translate them into actionable infrastructure events—spanning GitLab, JFrog, SonarQube, and Kubernetes. The first four months emphasize building compliance visibility, ensuring policies are auditable, measurable, and continuously enforced.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build an automation engine that consumes YAML/JSON descriptors and applies infrastructure actions across GitLab, JFrog, SonarQube, Kubernetes, and related platforms.
- Develop reconciliation jobs to enforce declared access‑policy state and automatically remediate drift.
- Implement observability pipelines to track compliance, access events, and infrastructure health.
- Build Grafana dashboards and alerts to visualize policy adherence, exceptions, and system health.
- Collaborate with platform, security, and developer productivity teams to enforce least‑privilege access control
- Ensure the automation engine is scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with GitOps and configuration‑as‑code principles.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architectural decisions.
Essential Skills
- Senior‑level experience in Azure Cloud Platform Engineering
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML scripting
- Experience building Grafana observability dashboards
- Proficiency in Python, Terraform automation, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Proven integration experience with GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and Kubernetes APIs.
- Deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, SSO, and compliance enforcement in distributed systems.
- Solid background in observability frameworks: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Familiarity with policy‑as‑code frameworks (OPA Gatekeeper, Kyverno).
- Experience with drift detection and auto‑remediation systems.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks: SOC2, ISO27001, export control
- Contributions to DevOps, security automation, or open‑source projects.
Success Criteria (First 4 Months)
- Deliver a prototype engine that ingests YAML/JSON descriptors and performs 2–3 automated infra actions (e.g., GitLab group creation, Kubernetes RBAC mapping).
- Provide an observability dashboard showing access and compliance status across GitLab, JFrog, SonarQube, and Kubernetes.
- Implement an automated reconciliation loop that detects and remediates policy/access drift.
- Ensure correct multi‑tenancy by enforcing team isolation across shared infrastructure.
Competencies
- Digital: Microsoft Azure
- Digital: Kubernetes
- Digital: Terraform
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in infrastructure automation, cloud engineering, or DevOps roles.
