We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and operate a cloud-based data lake platform. This role will support infrastructure, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and platform tooling for data engineering and analytics teams.
This is you
Strong experience with AWS cloud services
Strong DevOps skills using and command line tools and interfaces
Hands-on experience with building and contributing to Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
Proficiency with Python for automation and tooling
Strong working knowledge of SQL
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and AWS Code Pipeline
Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, monitoring, and operational best practices
Familiarity with data lake concepts such as object storage, catalogs, schemas, partitions, and access patterns.
This is your role
Build and maintain infrastructure for an AWS native data lake
Using services such as S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Airflow, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, IAM, and ECS
Develop and manage via Infrastructure as Code, mostly in Terraform
Create and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data platform deployments
Troubleshoot platform, deployment, permission, and data pipeline issues
Automate operational and data governance tasks using Python and scripting
Implement security, access control, encryption, monitoring, and governance standards
Support downstream teams of data engineers, analysts, and security teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
