We are currently building a dedicated, elite AWS DevOps squad to solve some very interesting and highly complex enterprise engineering problems. This is your opportunity to be a foundational part of that team, take extreme technical ownership, and truly empower your DevOps career.

The Role & The Challenge

We are seeking an exceptional, highly proactive Senior AWS DevOps Engineer who thrives in a high-trust, fully empowered environment. Make no mistake: this is a very hands-on role. We are not looking for a passive ticket-taker or a pure slide-deck architect. We want an execution-focused practitioner who can walk into a tangled, legacy AWS setup, untangle the chaos, and write the code and infrastructure required to fix it.

Your ultimate goal is to transition the platform to a state of 1-click automated environments and frictionless, zero-downtime deployments.

We do not micromanage, nor do we hand out pre-packaged answers. You will step into an environment where you are expected to take complete technical ownership, build optimal CI/CD pipelines, and creatively solve deep architectural infrastructure puzzles. You will also get your hands dirty playing with the latest AWS technologies, including AWS Proton, Amazon Q Developer, Graviton compute architectures, AWS Transit Gateway, and advanced ECS with AWS Fargate setups

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on AWS Remediation & Architecture: Take extreme hands-on ownership of existing, complex AWS environments. Plan and directly execute the remediation strategy to untangle legacy configurations and build highly resilient, scalable infrastructure.
• Optimal CI/CD & Deployments: Architect and build elite CI/CD pipelines to drastically streamline the release process. You will implement 1-click builds for environments and fully automated deployment strategies (such as blue-green and canary deployments).
• AI-Driven Pipelines (Shift Left): Build a dedicated AI component into our CI/CD workflows to aggressively "shift left". You will integrate agentic tooling and platforms like Amazon Q Developer to automate infrastructure policy checks, vulnerability scanning, and code quality assessments earlier in the lifecycle.
• Infrastructure at Scale: Design and manage advanced AWS networking and compute environments. You will specifically configure AWS DMZs, manage complex ECS clusters, and ensure applications can dynamically and horizontally scale based on real-time load and demand.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive platform stability by transitioning any remaining manual environment configurations to fully automated IaC using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Security & Networking: Secure the enterprise perimeter by managing VPCs, subnets, routing, and strict security group policies.
• Squad Leadership: Act as a technical catalyst within our newly formed DevOps squad, mentoring engineers and establishing best-in-class cloud practices through hands-on collaboration.

What You Bring

• Hands-on Execution Mindset: You are a practitioner who loves to get into the console and the codebase. You have a proven history of hunting down answers, researching architectural trade-offs independently, and directly implementing fully formed solutions to fix "messed up" infrastructure.
• AWS Mastery: Deep, hands-on commercial experience architecting and rebuilding enterprise AWS environments. You must possess advanced expertise with AWS DMZs, ECS, auto-scaling mechanisms, and a desire to work with the latest AWS releases.
• Advanced CI/CD & AI Tooling: Mandatory, extensive experience building frictionless CI/CD pipelines to achieve 1-click environment provisioning, combined with a strong understanding of how to use AI to "shift left" on security and quality.
• IaC Fluency: Strong commercial track record writing clean, maintainable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Collaborative Mindset: A strong team-first approach, with a passion for sharing knowledge, scaling best practices, and working side-by-side with product and software squads to remove operational bottlenecks.
