We are seeking an experienced U.S. Army 15Y AH-64 Armament Repairer

to serve as a Senior Aviation Maintenance Advisor – Armament (SAMA/A)

supporting an AH-64E Training Assistance Field Team (TAFT) program in Qatar.

Job Description

The SAMA/A will provide senior-level technical expertise,

maintenance guidance, training, and mentorship to Qatar Armed Forces aviation

personnel supporting the AH-64E.

The advisor will focus primarily on AH-64 armament maintenance and the

skills associated with a senior U.S. Army 15Y AH-64 Armament Repairer.

The SAMA/A will assist with both hands-on maintenance and the development

of effective maintenance management practices, helping the partner nation

establish safe, standardized, and sustainable AH-64E maintenance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical advisor for AH-64E armament maintenance.
  • Provide classroom, practical, and hands-on maintenance instruction.
  • Train and mentor partner-nation 15Y-equivalent personnel.
  • Provide technical guidance on AH-64 armament and weapons systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, inspections, maintenance, servicing, removal, installation, testing, and functional checks.
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Assist with maintenance production control and workflow management.
  • Provide guidance on parts ordering and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with aircraft maintenance status and readiness tracking.
  • Support quality-control and inspection activities.
  • Apply U.S. Army technical manuals, maintenance publications, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote aviation safety, weapons safety, FOD prevention, tool control, and maintenance discipline.
  • Identify technical and training deficiencies and provide corrective instruction.
  • Mentor maintenance personnel and provide recommendations to maintenance leadership.
  • Support the development of sustainable partner-nation aviation maintenance capabilities.
  • Perform Technical Inspector duties when designated and qualified.
  • Work closely with U.S. Government representatives and partner-nation military leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Army MOS 15Y – AH-64 Armament Repairer qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing or supervising AH-64D/E maintenance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing or supervising AH-64V6 maintenance requiring 15Y-level skills.
  • Senior-level aviation maintenance experience, preferably in a leadership, supervisory, or technical inspection role.
  • Strong knowledge of AH-64 armament and weapons systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and performing aircraft armament maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret and apply U.S. Army aviation technical manuals and maintenance publications.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and advise military aviation maintenance personnel.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Valid U.S. Passport required.
  • Ability to obtain required visas, country clearances, and deployment documentation.
  • Ability and willingness to work internationally for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous SATMO or TAFT experience.
  • Previous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aviation advisory experience.
  • Extensive AH-64E experience.
  • Previous Technical Inspector experience.
  • Previous Instructor/Trainer or aviation maintenance instructor experience.
  • Senior 15Y, maintenance supervisor, crew chief, or maintenance leadership experience.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance production control and readiness management.
  • Previous international or overseas military aviation experience.
