We're recruiting for two Senior Automation Test Analyst opportunities, with one role specialising in Test Automation and the other specialising in Performance Testing

Both roles play a key part in delivering high-quality, reliable digital products and services. Working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you'll lead testing activities across the software delivery lifecycle, helping to embed quality into every stage of delivery through modern testing practices and continuous improvement.

Depending on your area of expertise, you'll either design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions, or lead performance testing activities that improve the scalability, resilience and reliability of our systems. You'll work closely with developers, architects and delivery teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and help strengthen testing capability across the organisation.

The remuneration range for this role is $125,145 - $155,736, with the ability to appoint higher on the band, dependent on capability and experience.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

For both opportunities, you'll bring:

Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, scripting, execution, monitoring and analysis.

  • Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices, ideally using Azure DevOps.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and continuously improve testing practices.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others and contributing to quality engineering practices.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments, with exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, Docker or Kubernetes being an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to extend and maintain complex test automation suites (adding tests, updating existing ones and triaging issues as systems change)

You'll also have expertise in one of the following specialisations:

Test Automation

  • Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as (eg: Selenium, NUnit, SpecFlow, TestNG) using languages such as C# or Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines integrating automation tests into delivery processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to extend and maintain complex test automation suites (adding tests, updating existing ones and triaging issues as systems change)
  • Experience mentoring, coaching and uplifting test capability within teams.

Performance Testing

  • Proven experience in performance testing, including planning, scripting, execution, monitoring and analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and the ability to analyse results and identify opportunities to improve system performance and scalability.
  • Experience working with modern architectures (APIs, Microservices) and integrating performance testing into delivery pipelines.
  • Proven ability to conduct load, stress, spike and endurance testing, and identify system bottlenecks across application, database and infrastructure layers.
