A day in a life of a Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

  • Automation strategy: You design state-of-the-art automation and process control systems and ensure our production lines run efficiently and reliably.
  • AI & innovation: With your expertise you implement AI and machine-learning solutions and take our process optimisation to the next level.
  • IT/OT integration: A seamless and secure connection between the shop floor and IT systems becomes reality through your expertise and sustainably increases our efficiency.
  • Smart sensors: You use modern sensor technologies such as MWR or NIR purposefully to monitor and optimise processes in real time.
  • Standardisation & Industry 4.0: Through your work you establish future-proof automation standards and actively drive digitalisation forward.
  • Technical excellence: Whether commissioning, troubleshooting or continuous improvement – your commitment ensures stable and high-performing systems.

What will make you successful

  • Technical background: With your completed degree in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field, you bring a solid technical foundation.
  • Professional experience: Several years of experience in an industrial environment enable you to quickly grasp complex interrelationships and implement them purposefully.
  • Technology expertise: Sound knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and the industrial environment characterises you and forms the basis of your work.
  • Digital affinity: Your experience with modern technologies, particularly in the area of data-driven applications or AI, supports you in further developing innovative solutions.
  • Working methods & collaboration: Through your structured way of working, your project management know-how and your strong team skills, you actively contribute to shared success.
  • Communication: Fluent English skills and your ability to convey complex content clearly make collaboration at an international level easier for you.
