The role

At Idneo we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team based in Mollet del Vallès.

Your responsibilities

• Lead industrial automation projects for the technical part.

• Define the software architecture of the PLC, according to the functionalities defined by the client.

• Programming the software according to the defined requirements, working closely with the mechanical and electrical hardware teams.

• Start-up and debugging of errors in the manufacturing phase and validation of the machine.

• Collaborate and communicate with the customer on the progress of project activities.

• Supporting and coordinating the installation/commissioning activities and related on- site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance delivery.

• Identify, analyse and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and implement corrective actions.

• Execute functional, performance, FAT and SAT tests to ensure systems meet specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading automation engineering projects.

• TIA PORTAL programming experience.

• Proven experience as a commissioning / start-up engineer in automation environments.

• Knowledge of industrial control cabinets.

• Knowledge of actuators, sensors and pneumatics.

• Regulatory and Safety machinery knowledge in industrial environment.

• Knowledge of ATEX regulations.

• Strong customer-oriented mindset and communication skills.

• Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
