About This Opportunity CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to find a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer for their enterprise infrastructure team based in Durham, NC. You will build the automation that lets plant and manufacturing sites deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure without manual effort. The work replaces hand-built servers and one-off scripts with reusable, repeatable code across multiple locations. What You’ll Do Design and build Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python Build automated provisioning and orchestration with VMware Aria Suite, Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, Azure DevOps, and GitHub pipelines Create reusable automation frameworks and standard deployment templates for servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and monitoring Modernize VMware vSAN and VMware Cloud Foundation platforms across manufacturing and remote sites Automate configuration compliance, patch orchestration, and system lifecycle management Deliver self-service infrastructure services that speed delivery and cut manual work Maintain automation products and operational toolsets that support long-term modernization Requirements What You Bring Must-Have: Senior-level infrastructure engineering or automation experience, 5+ years Hands-on Terraform and Ansible in production environments PowerShell and Python scripting for infrastructure automation VMware experience, including Aria, vSAN, or VMware Cloud Foundation Experience building pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Live in or near Durham, NC, and able to work onsite 3-4 days per week Able to attend an in-person interview Nice-to-Have: Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) runbooks Patch orchestration and configuration compliance tooling Backup, monitoring, and storage automation Manufacturing or plant environment exposure Technical Environment: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python VMware Aria Suite, vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, Azure DevOps, GitHub What Success Looks Like: Repeatable deployment standards adopted across plant locations Self-service infrastructure services live and in use Less manual work in patching, provisioning, and compliance
