Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Job Holder is Responsible to ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning, wrap up activities and reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Functional Duties

­ Conducts assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end.

­ Finalize the scope of each assignment with audit manager based on business understanding and risks identified.

­ Applies risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identifies any potential issues.

­ Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.

­ Manages and directs daily activities of more junior auditors assigned to assist the Senior Auditor during an engagement.

­ Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented.

­ Ensures that complete understanding of the process and circumstances (operation and financial) is obtained and documented.

Monitoring and Reporting

­ Prepares detailed audits reports/presentations.

Team Management

­ Communicates assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results

­ Organizes personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times

Self-Development

­ Ensures adequate focus on personal professional growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression – proactively seeks relevant Education and training opportunities

­ Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable departmental and professional standards.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualification

­ University Graduate in accounting, finance or related field.

­ Preferred but not required: Certified from The IIA

Minimum Experience

­ At least 4 years audit experience with Big4 or

­ At least 6 years of audit experience in industry.

Other Requirement

­ Fluency in English is a must; writing and oral.

­ Familiar with communication Skills in Arabic and English (preferred); reading, writing and oral.

­ Proven ability to identifying problems and analyze the real root cause behind findings.
