THE ROLE:

Provide deep technical support to resolve engineering issues encountered before, during, and after new product or equipment introduction and deployment. Work closely with internal teams and external developers or OEMs to identify, define, and solve development issues that affect test results, operational efficiency, and cost.

THE PERSON:

The candidate should be independent, self-motivated and have good communication skills. The person is preferred to be a collaborative team player with a resourceful approach to deliver results. An analytical thinker with strong leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing NPI equipment installation at test floor, support equipment and hardware qualification, equipment conversion and commissioning, developing maintenance strategies and troubleshooting equipment test issues.
• Provide in-depth technical assistance and resolution for engineering problems encountered.
• Collaborate with developers/cross-functional team to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
• Initiate engineering solutions to optimize overall equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost.
• Establish and/or maintain test equipment documentation for ISO/quality requirement.
• Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and cultivate technical proficiency for lab technicians.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Good knowledge of IC technologies and understanding of semiconductor testing.
• Experience in Advantest Testers (or equivalent), Cohu Handlers and Hontech Handlers will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving
• Motivated individuals with minimum supervision required and able to lead.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical /Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with preferred >4 relevant years of experience. Or
• Diploma in any engineering discipline with preferred >6yrs relevant experience.
