Role Title: Senior Associate/Associate Director, Relationship Manager, Institutional Counterparty Management

Role location: Singapore Based

How will I help?

This Relationship Manager role exists to deliver Westpac Institutional Bank’s (WIB’s) customer focused strategy, managing a portfolio of Asia based Institutional customers within Financial Markets, including fund managers, hedge funds and other NBFIs, to deepen its engagement across multiple Financial Markets products such as FX, Rates and Credit.

This role will draw on Westpac’s leading industry reputation, product capabilities and industry expertise to grow WIB’s presence in target areas of industry growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Financial Markets salespeople by on-boarding identified opportunities, liaising with various partner teams such as KYC, Credit Analysts and Legal
  • Being highly responsive and innovative to customer needs, developing strong client relationships
  • Leveraging resources within the Bank through exceptional teamwork
  • Expanding relationship value by having an intimate knowledge of customers, financial markets and the global fund industry
  • Facilitating appropriate levels of contact and client management
  • Supporting salespeople within Financial Markets, clearing the way for them to trade & capitalise on opportunities
  • Contributing to strategic Account Planning across the portfolio
  • Understanding and managing the inherent risks in the portfolio, such as Credit, Legal, Regulatory, KYC/AML and Operational.
  • Assisting with process enhancements and initiatives through digital transformation, improving customer service and speed to market

Accountabilities

  • Assisting Financial Markets salespeople with the growth of their business
  • Manage risk effectively

Outcomes/Deliverables

  • Assisting with the growth of Financial Markets revenue for Westpac
  • Service client needs appropriately as they arise
  • Exhibit strong positive levels of customer feedback

  • Good understanding of Financial Markets
  • Credit & risk management
  • Knowledge of global Derivative regulations
  • Experience with Financial Markets traded documentation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Teamwork & collaboration
  • Ability to deal with senior stakeholders
  • Mandarin language is essential to interact with clients
