
Senior Associate, Taxation will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and submission of tax returns, management of US GAAP and local GAAP tax accounting requirements, production of transfer pricing documentation and the management and mitigation of tax risks for the region. In an ever-developing world of tax legislation, this position will play a key role in ensuring compliance across the region while also identifying and driving opportunities for tax optimization.
Management of corporate income tax compliance requirements for the corresponding market(s). Accurate reporting of tax liabilities under local and US GAAP accounting principles. Management of production of corporate tax returns.
Working closely with finance and tax teams to manage tax compliance across the region ensuring complete and accurate tax reporting under US GAAP principles.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive forward transfer pricing models and ensure timely production of supporting documentation.
Development and creation of tax process documentation across the region, identifying control weaknesses, recommending mitigation strategies and maintaining a tax risk register.
Responsibility for rolling out training across the region for new tax reporting processes
Monitoring of international tax developments relevant for the region and managing the Group's response and implementation of changes.
Review risks and opportunities while analyzing tax numbers.
Maintaining cash taxes forecast for the region and assisting with global cash repatriation projects.
Provide support across the region for tax audits and litigations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics plus professional accounting qualification and / or tax qualification with a minimum of 8 years experience within international direct taxation at Big 4 Audit firm, international law firm or at a multinational organization
Strong technical expertise in tax law and accounting with proven experience of managing corporate tax requirements for at least one country in corresponding market(s).
Experience of IFRS or US GAAP tax accounting requirements
Self-starter and quick learner with strong analytical skills to synthesize large amounts of data, financial modelling skills, attention to detail and accuracy, comfortable working with tight deadlines
Knowledge of transferpricing in largemultinationalbusinesses
Excellent communication (both oral and written) and collaboration skills with proven ability to work cross-functionally and effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience of Workday Finance and Onesource Tax an advantage
