Senior Associate Tax GCR Suva

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Associate role involves leading teams and supervising junior staff, collaborating with Tax Directors, Senior Managers and Partners. Key capabilities include meeting stretch targets, coaching and encouraging junior staff, effective communication, and project management.

Your key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge tax returns with Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS), including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, FBT, and other statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with Fiji tax legislation, regulations, and filing deadlines.
• Collect, review, and analyze financial information to support tax computations.
• Prepare tax reconciliations and maintain accurate tax records.
• Monitor tax compliance obligations and ensure timely lodgement and payment of taxes.
• Liaise with clients, FRCS, and internal stakeholders on tax matters.
• Support tax audits, reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
• Identify tax risks and recommend practical compliance solutions.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects where required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fiji tax laws and FRCS requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
• Manage multiple client engagements and meet strict deadlines.

Skills and attributes for success

• Knowledge of Fiji taxation, including VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and FBT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
