About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experience solicitor to join our Employment team as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel

This position combines high-level advisory work with significant contentious matters, spanning the full employment lifecycle

Key Tasks

Undertake legal work and preparing advice for clients in relation to Employment matters, including:

• Executive employment structuring and tailored contractual arrangements
• Strategic management and enforcement of restraint and post-employment obligations
• Representation in unfair dismissal and general protections matters under the Fair Work framework
• Enterprise bargaining strategy and complex industrial negotiations
• Workplace disputes, conduct issues, and disciplinary risk management
• Sensitive investigations involving bullying, harassment, and discrimination
• WHS advisory, governance oversight, and response to critical incidents termination and redundancy
• Negotiating on behalf of clients and representing them in court / tribunal hearings.
• Keeping up to date with new developments in employment legislation.
• Any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience, as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel, with employment, industrial relations and workplace safety law.
• Strong research and analysis skills and ability to apply critical thinking.
• Self-sufficient, proactive work ethic, with the ability to manage own files in an efficient manner.
• Demonstrated experience in a highly focused client service environment, ability to build client relationships and gain a sound understanding of their needs.
• Current QLD practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
