The Senior Associate Scientist position is an individual contributor role within the Surveillance, Prevention, and Health Services Research (SPHeRe) department, working under supervision. The role contributes to key elements of strategic development for an identified intramural project.
The role plays a key role in supporting the TCR team’s interdisciplinary, high-impact research by conducting comprehensive literature reviews, performing rigorous data analyses, and contributing to the preparation of scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at scientific conferences. This position collaborates closely with colleagues across ACS and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). The Tobacco Control Research (TCR) team within the Department of Surveillance, Prevention & Health Services Research (SPHeRe) at the American Cancer Society (ACS) conducts cutting-edge research to advance and translate scientific knowledge, inform evidence-based tobacco control advocacy, reduce tobacco use and its associated burden of disease, and identify strategies to address disparities and promote health equity.
This is a full-time remote opportunity which can be home-based anywhere in the U.S.

The salary range for this role is between $71,600 - $85,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
