The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Band 1 Real Estate team in Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with industry-leading Partners Julie Couch and Andrew Leadston, working in a team of talented, friendly and collaborative professionals.

The team acts for a broad range of major Australian and international clients, including institutional investors, leading developers, real estate funds, major corporates, and State and Federal government agencies. The work spans the full real estate lifecycle, including large‑scale commercial, industrial, living and retail acquisitions, disposals and developments, urban renewal / over station projects, property joint ventures and platform arrangements, major leasing portfolios and infrastructure‑related real estate projects, including energy transition.

You will also have the opportunity to work with other partners and lawyers across the network.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An Australian or New Zealand practising certificate;
• Demonstrable experience in transactional real estate across real estate development, investment, joint ventures, acquisitions and disposals;
• An excellent academic record, with an ability to apply that technical legal knowledge in a commercial environment;
• First-class attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to comprehend intricate legal matters and manage large-scale transactions;
• A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team;
• A hunger to learn and develop and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice; and
• An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
