Senior Associate, Program Delivery

• Join the Office of the 24 Hour Economy Commissioner, a division of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
• Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus superannuation
• Temporary role (up to 30 June 2027) based in Sydney CBD

About the role

The Senior Associate, Program Delivery supports the delivery of programs that helps create safer, more vibrant and inclusive night-time precincts across NSW. In this role, you'll contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of projects, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, managing budgets and supporting procurement and contract administration to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. You'll also undertake research, prepare reports and provide practical advice to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

A key focus of the role is supporting the delivery of the internationally recognised Purple Flag program, which recognises precincts that demonstrate excellence in creating welcoming, safe and diverse night-time destinations. Working closely with local councils, industry partners and internal teams, you'll help build strong relationships, manage competing priorities and contribute to program evaluation so that lessons learned can inform future initiatives. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping thriving night-time economies and communities across NSW.

About You

You have experience supporting the delivery programs or projects and are comfortable managing competing priorities while meeting deadlines, budgets and quality standards. You have experience coordinating project or program activities, monitoring progress, managing risks and contributing to reporting and evaluation to support successful program outcomes. You use research and analysis to inform your work and can identify issues and recommend practical solutions.

You build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and communicate clearly with people who have different priorities and perspectives. You're able to provide advice, manage competing demands and work collaboratively to deliver agreed outcomes. Experience in program or project management is essential, along with the ability to contribute to the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of complex programs. Experience with grants would be highly regarded.
