Position Summary:

Grayscale's index-based product suite is expanding quickly, and that growth requires a dedicated owner of the operations behind it. This is a foundational role within Product Operations, responsible for building the processes and judgment needed to support the platform as it launches, adjusts, and retires products. It's an opportunity to help shape how Grayscale scales its index-based product offering, with real ownership over how the function operates.

Day to day, this means owning the prospectus review process, significant episodic product changes (splits, benchmark changes), new product launch execution, and fund liquidations. The role serves as the operational backbone connecting Product Management, Marketing Operations, and Legal & Compliance, and plays a key support role to both Product Development and Product Management.

Responsibilities:

Product Filings & Episodic Change Management

• Lead the annual index description review process — coordinating filings, communications, and collateral updates with Legal — to keep prospectus disclosures accurate and current for every product.
• Own execution of benchmark changes and share splits, maintaining the monthly closing price monitoring sheet and partnering with Product Management and Capital Markets so changes land without disruption to calculation times or costs.
• Monitor and communicate fund expense ratio changes across stakeholders, ensuring downstream materials and systems stay in sync.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Operations

• Project manage the operational rollout of new product launches end-to-end — front-end process, back-office coordination, project plans, and unplanned issues — as the key operational partner to Product Development and Product Management.
• Drive the fund liquidation process, building the analytical framework and coordinating cross-functional execution so liquidations close cleanly and on schedule.
• Own the master calendar of fund board-driven product changes, keeping preparation and follow-through on track alongside Product Management and Legal.

Cross-Functional Process Ownership

• Serve as the go-to owner of operational inputs feeding key product decisions — prospectus changes, business-model changes, and new launch data.
• Ensure Product Management and Legal always have accurate, timely information to act on.

Prior Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• 4-7 years of experience in product operations, product development, fund operations, or a closely related function within asset management, ETFs, index products, or financial services.
• Working knowledge of prospectus filings, index/benchmark administration, fund board processes, and the regulatory environment governing registered products; familiarity with digital asset products a strong plus.
• Experience with '33 Act, '40 Act, and/or private placement product structures a strong plus — each follows a distinct regulatory and operational cadence, and familiarity with more than one broadens the range of products this person can support.
• Strong project management skills, with the intuition to anticipate what's coming next in a product's cadence (lead times, upcoming filings, dependencies) — not just execute against a fixed plan.
• High attention to detail and comfort owning recurring operational deliverables (monitoring sheets, master calendars, filings) with accuracy and consistency.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and drive alignment across Product Management, Legal & Compliance, Capital Markets, and Marketing.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience coordinating across internal teams and external parties (e.g., regulators, index providers, fund board).
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving industry, with genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the digital asset space.

The salary range for this position is $140,000-$190,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
