Senior Associate │ Workers Compensation (Mixed Practice) 5 to 8 Years PQE │ Sydney, NSW About Our Client Our client is a well established national plaintiff firm with offices across Australia. The firm acts only for injured people, on a no win, no fee basis, across workers compensation, motor vehicle (CTP), public liability, medical negligence and TPD claims. The Opportunity Our client is looking for a Senior Associate to manage a mixed personal injury practice from its Sydney office, with workers compensation making up most of the work as well as WID and PL. You'll run matters from first instructions through to resolution. That covers weekly payments and medical expenses disputes, lump sum claims for permanent impairment, death benefits and work injury damages claims. The role suits a lawyer who wants to run their own practice in a firm that does plaintiff work only. Key Details Practice split: mostly workers compensation, with the balance across the firm's other personal injury work including WID and PL Work type: statutory claims and work injury damages, including disputes before the Personal Injury Commission About You 4 to 8 years' PQE, admitted in NSW Solid plaintiff workers compensation experience, either as a Senior Associate or as an Associate ready to step up Familiar with the PIC process and conducting matters through to resolution Comfortable running your own file load with little supervision Clear and practical with clients, some of whom are dealing with serious or long term injuries Experience in Workers Comp, WID and public liability is an advantage What's on Offer A Senior Associate role running a mixed plaintiff practice A national firm that acts only for injured people Salary up to $200,000, depending on experience How to Apply This search is being managed on a confidential basis by Hooker Heijden Legal Recruitment.
