GENERAL FUNCTION:

Client-facing deal execution role (Senior Associate / VP), part of deal team working on asset securitization transactions focusing on both Consumer (auto, card, unsecured, and home improvement) and Commercial (aviation, rail, container, and equipment, esoteric, and digital infrastructure, amongst other) asset classes. Responsible for execution of securitization asset financings including structuring, lending, securitization and private placement (144a or 4a2), portfolio purchase, and advisory. Work with ABF Credit Solutions to support existing management of the current portfolio and clients. Perform all underwriting and work with Credit Risk on opportunities, either loan or other format. Key support role in origination of ABS and private placement and 144a and 4a2; active in all components of execution: including pitching, creating analysis and pitch content, all elements of deal execution, idea generation, rating agency dialogue along with modeler/structurer.

A Senior Associate will begin to play a leadership role in the evolution and development of the groups pitch materials and modeling and analytical work as well as running the transaction execution process including the creation of financial models and other materials. A Senior Associate may also provide management and oversight of Analyst pool to ensure the production of a high quality work product.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.

  • Work as a part of a team to deliver and execute solutions that generate capital markets revenue from a targeted list of clients and prospects.
  • Support Relationship Managers and prioritize a pipeline of securitization opportunities.
  • Provide leadership in the monitoring and reporting of the securitization portfolio.
  • Create and deliver high value-added financial analysis and market advice to current and prospective securitization clients.
  • Participate and provide key support in pitching, driving, leading, managing and closing all aspects of ABS and loan/note asset securitization transactions in public or private markets.
  • Management of ABS/private placement transaction processes from origination to closing including any rating agency agreement/analysis/dialogue/3rd party coordination and organization/coordination with Syndicate/discussion with investors and operational aspects for these transactions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree/certification (e.g., CFA) preferred but not required.
  • 5–7 years of total relevant investment banking, capital markets or corporate finance experience, including prior Associate-level responsibilities; internal promotion candidates typically have 5–7 total years’ experience.
  • Proven project leadership across multiple concurrent transactions with tight deadlines; ability to manage across senior bankers and external advisors.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses (or ability to maintain/obtain within company policy).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • ABS 144a, 4a2, and loan-format deal execution performance history and credit underwriting skills
  • Working experience with credit rating agencies and legal teams used in ABS sector financings
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics for ABS transactions
  • Solid experience of financing securitization facilities (Warehouse, term loan, portfolio)
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with sector leads and teams on multiple transactions at any one time

Successful candidates will demonstrate a higher degree of proficiency (typically from 5–7 years of practical experience or advanced academic exposure) across the following areas:

  • Client Impact: Elevate client dialogue with insights on valuation, credit, process strategy, and market dynamics.
  • Commercial Acumen: Support origination with idea generation and by identifying cross-sell opportunities across the platform.
  • Team Building: Develop junior talent through structured feedback, training moments, and role-modeling of best practices.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational, reputational, and compliance risks.

Total Base Pay Range 82,100.00 - 172,500.00 USD Annual
