Job Description

At Compass, our mission is to help everyone find their place in the world. Founded in 2012, we’re revolutionizing the real estate industry with our end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to seller and buyer clients.

We are actively seeking a Senior Associate for our M&A Integration Team to support the execution of mergers and acquisitions. In this role, you will help execute integrations across operations, systems, culture, and strategic initiatives to maximize the value of each deal. You will help optimize pre-defined processes, coordinate team efforts, and deliver consistent impact on team projects and goals.

Your ability to coordinate the delivery of pre-defined goals, identify blockers, and increase the visibility of issues will be essential. Exceptional communication abilities are critical to your success, as you will be expected to effectively manage and lead meetings, coordinate stakeholder attendance, and drive detailed discussions and high-level alignment.

As a Senior Associate of M&A Integration, you will support various integrations of brokerages into Compass nationwide. Your responsibilities include providing tactical support throughout each phase while looking around corners to anticipate risk. You will coordinate the delivery of multiple workstreams for one or more concurrent integrations as well as support the refinement of our playbooks.

In this role, you will collaborate with key functions across the business, informing their processes and stakeholders. Your work will be instrumental in keeping stakeholders moving forward towards shared goals to ensure sustainable growth.

This position is hybrid (requirement to work out of your local hub office location 2x per month)

At Compass, You Will:

  • Support several M&As at a given time, collaborating with M&A integration team members to ensure defined initiatives and projects are executed.
  • Coordinate the delivery of pre-defined workplans, identifying additional requirements, blockers and increasing the visibility of issues.
  • Build relationships across the organization and with seller teams, and ensure all stakeholders stay on track to deliver what is best for the integration and for the broader organization.
  • Implement solutions for defined business problems with guidance and refinement, and seek help escalating when necessary.
  • Build and improve upon Standard Operating Procedures (‘SOPs’) to standardize and optimize pre-defined processes to support continuous improvement.
  • Inform regional stakeholders on integration processes, working with guidance to influence decisions in their market.
  • Assist in maintaining the Integration Playbook and project plans for the deals you support.
  • Manage and lead weekly integration status meetings, coordinate appropriate stakeholder attendance, and drive detailed discussions.
  • Identify blockers in real time, increase visibility of issues, and seek guidance for implementation and escalation.
  • Deliver on team projects and goals to ensure we are meeting objectives.
  • Support data and analytics for M&A Integration.
  • Work with seller and program management teams to build business requirements.
  • Maintain a high quality bar and meet deadlines through clear and concise written and verbal communication.

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong data analysis skills, and familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication that allows you to articulate strategy and tactical next steps, understand business cases, and speak to the larger business vision
  • Understanding of HR and Enterprise Technology/IT systems
  • Experience working with both external customers and internal business, finance, and legal teams
