About the department
You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role, you will be part of our Corporate Procurement team, which is responsible for the global indirect spend in Novo Nordisk of app. 90 billion DKK and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. With 180 employees based in Denmark, 300 employees in India, and globally 500 people working in procurement, we are a strategic partner to the execution of the company’s strategy.

The position
As a Senior Associate I, you will play a key role in managing various financial and accounting operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Invoice processing:
Process allocated invoices daily within the given time frame.
Perform quality checks for posted invoices and handle corrections, GST, and TDS entries.
Manage accruals, NO PO NO PAY reports, and down payment processing.
Verify invoice details, code VAT/TAX details, and ensure proper approvals in SAP.
Pre-code invoices with GL and cost centres for recurring vendors.
Post invoices for payment and handle GL corrections.
Intercompany transactions:
Process intercompany invoices and service fee transactions with correct documentation.
Ensure accurate VAT handling for affiliate transactions.
Query management:
Address queries from vendors, local finance teams, and line of business.
Manage CRM mailbox emails and ensure timely follow-up.
Handle urgent queries from senior stakeholders with special attention.
Reporting and controls:
Perform quality checks for invoices posted with WHT/TAX and vendor master creations.
Generate duplicate check reports and process health check reports.
Manage payment block removal requests and bi-annual master data clean-up activities.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:
Bachelor of commerce or equivalent qualification
Minimum 4 years of experience within an accounting/economy function in a larger organisation.
Experience working with SAP ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of AP processes.
