Technical and Training Skills
Ability to populate and review intermediate single entity and consolidated/combined federal, state and international tax returns, utilizing tax software, tools and provided inputs of complex items
Processes and reviews intermediate non-US tax data for international forms, ensuring quality through effective self-review and review of associate work.
Applies quantitative and financial analytical skills, along with relevant technology, to identify and resolve moderately complex issues through effective problem-solving.
Demonstrates intermediate tax compliance and technology skills across focus areas like Partnerships, Corporate, State, or International, while expanding knowledge in broader technical topics such as consolidations and ASC 740.
Demonstrates intermediate technical skills in US Inbound/Outbound tax compliance, including Foreign Tax Credits, CFCs, and recent international tax legislation, while beginning to build industry-specific expertise.
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication with internal and external clients, solid research and organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management while working independently and collaboratively to meet deliverables.
Participate in and contribute to the design and execution of training to optimize use of tax technology, process or improve quality of tax deliverables and services provided.
Effectively manages time and multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment, collaborates with the engagement team, and contributes as a productive project team member.
Supports engagement execution and resource planning by providing input to the People Management Leader, while actively contributing to external recruiting efforts.
Understands and meets key performance metrics such as utilization and quality, supports team members in achieving their goals, and ensures timely completion of reviews and feedback for junior staff.
Demonstrates understanding and appropriate application of Circular 230, Tax Shelter and Reportable Transactions Rules and the Deferred Prosecution Agreement, including elevated and covered opinion standards
