The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate Engineer – Drainage & Flooding with a proven track record in delivering major transport infrastructure projects across WA and nationally. This is a permanent opportunity based in our Perth office.

With a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects, we are looking for a highly accomplished drainage professional with demonstrated experience in drainage design and flood modelling to join a high-performing multidisciplinary team. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, overseeing complex project delivery, and providing strategic guidance across multiple projects.

With 12–15+ years’ consulting experience, this is an opportunity for you to shape drainage and flooding capability, lead teams, and provide specialist technical direction across analysis and design. You will play a critical role in ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical standards, client expectations, and commercial objectives, while mentoring emerging talent and contributing to business growth.

With an established reputation in the industry, you will bring strong client relationships, a track record of securing and delivering major projects, and a passion for innovation, collaboration, and developing high-performing teams.

About You

Suitable applicants will have:

  • Degree qualified – Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar)
  • 10–15+ years’ experience delivering drainage packages for major infrastructure projects across WA (Main Roads WA experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale project delivery, including accountability for technical, commercial and programme outcomes
  • Proven capability in managing and mentoring teams, and providing technical leadership within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Austroads Part 5, 5A & 5B and Australian Rainfall and Runoff (2019), with the ability to apply these at a strategic level
  • Advanced capability in preparing, reviewing and signing off on high-quality technical reports and designs
  • High-level proficiency in 12d Dynamic Drainage Analysis and related modelling tools
  • A highly developed, client-focused mindset with the ability to build, maintain and leverage senior stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated contribution to winning work, proposal development, and business growth initiatives
