Senior Associate - Risk Management Services

This is a technical senior role that requires the incumbent to independently support, design, build, maintain, and enhance global Assurance Quality Review processes with a strong focus on creating Power BI dashboards, preparing AQR data models, performing data analysis, automating recurring reporting activities, validating questionnaire and findings data, and enabling technology-driven process improvements for Global and Regional Assurance Quality stakeholders. The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured and complex environment requiring out-of-the-box thinking, logical reasoning, hands-on digital capability, sound verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to make prompt yet well-informed decisions.

The opportunity

The Service Line Quality enablement teams play a crucial role in facilitating the Annual Quality Reviews. Our primary responsibilities include generating reports and aiding the analysis conducted by the Global Service Line Quality Leadership.

The Senior Associate will be expected to develop subject matter expertise in Assurance Quality Review processes and independently manage technical AQR deliverables, including dashboard development, automated reporting, data modelling, data validation, analysis of inspection/questionnaire outputs, troubleshooting reporting issues, and AI-enabled productivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence:

  • Develop subject matter expertise in Assurance Quality Review processes, AQR reporting requirements, questionnaires, findings analysis, inspection data, and related EY tools.
  • Design, build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support AQR monitoring, trend analysis, leadership reporting, and stakeholder decision-making.
  • Use advanced Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, SQL concepts, Microsoft Copilot, and AI-enabled tools to automate recurring reporting, data preparation, quality checks, and workflow activities.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation checks on AQR inspection, questionnaire, engagement, and findings data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Analyze AQR data to identify trends, exceptions, reporting gaps, process issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Complete assigned AQR technical projects in line with standard operating procedures, quality expectations, and stipulated timelines.

Client Management:

  • Manage conversations with Global and Regional Assurance Quality stakeholders to understand dashboard, reporting, analytics, and automation requirements.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into practical Power BI dashboards, automated reports, data checks, and workflow solutions.
  • Address AQR reporting, dashboard, data quality, or automation-related issues and escalations by identifying root causes, recommending fixes, and implementing preventive checks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Drive quality control mechanisms for technical outputs and manage stakeholder requirements within defined timelines and required quality standards.

People Management:

  • Provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members and help them move up the learning curve.
  • Support team capability-building by reviewing deliverables, sharing timely feedback, guiding junior team members, and reinforcing quality expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to workflow protocols, quality checks, documentation standards, and technology-enabled ways of working.
  • Coordinate training and learning opportunities for new and existing team members.

Qualification Requirements

  • MBA or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Technology, Data/Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed institute.
  • 4–5 years of professional experience, preferably in Assurance Quality Reviews, audit quality, reporting, analytics, automation, quality review, risk management, or compliance monitoring environment.
  • Exposure to handling Global or Regional Assurance Quality stakeholders or client interactions.
  • Experience in managing or guiding team members.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility to support AQR business season requirements if needed, and a solution-oriented approach.

Soft and Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Power BI dashboard design and build, Power Query, data modelling, DAX concepts, dashboard visualization, report publishing, and ongoing dashboard enhancement will be preferred.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, AI-powered productivity tools, and basic SQL concepts to support data preparation, automation, validation, and reporting activities.
  • Ability to design reporting workflows, automate recurring reports, perform data checks, and convert raw AQR data into clear business insights.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence or automation tools to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort will be an added advantage.

Added Advantage

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, XML, R, SAS, database integrations, data security, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities including Data Factory, Power BI with Copilot, Data Activator, and OneLake.
  • Ability to leverage emerging technologies, AI-enabled tools, and automation solutions to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and process outcomes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with exposure to process mining, creative visualization, digitization, and automation.
