As a corporate and business strategy consultant at PwC, you will analyse client needs, provide consulting services across different strategic areas, and offer guidance and support to help clients develop and implement effective strategies that align with their business objectives and drive growth.

Senior Associates at Strategy & Operations are typically high achievers with an Undergraduate or a Master’s degree and an exceptional academic record. Our hires come from a variety of degree disciplines. They will have demonstrated international experience, participation in extracurricular activities and demonstrate the energy, commitment and drive necessary to succeed at Strategy&.

Senior Associates provide support on client assignments that help to develop a strategy and then refocus an organisation on making that strategy a reality. This includes generating hypotheses against those issues, structuring & performing analyses, identifying creative but pragmatic options against potential market scenarios, developing conclusions, making strategic recommendations, and then developing plans to operationalize the agreed upon strategy.

On any given project, you might be asked to analyse a company’s costs to identify savings, build a business case to evaluate an opportunity, construct a presentation to demonstrate solutions to client executives, conduct interviews to gather data or research companies to gain external market perspectives. Senior Associates are also expected to provide guidance to Associates. Associates/Senior Associates also contribute to other activities in the office; they are often at the forefront of organising social activities, get involved in pro bono work and attend recruiting events.

You will work across a variety of industries, including:

A blend of talents and skills is required of successful Senior Associate candidates, including:

  • First-class honours / 3.7-4.0 GPA (Bachelor, Master and/or higher Degree)

  • MBA from a top university is a major advantage

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of strategy consulting or mix of consulting and industry experience

  • Excellent academic achievement and demonstrated leadership skills

  • Real thought leadership, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills (which includes both a quantitative and a qualitative orientation)

  • Experience acquired through internships or study abroad programs

  • Flexible, powerful intellect

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity

  • The ability to work independently, while simultaneously being able to forge productive team relationships

  • Business judgement and maturity, including the ability to develop a ‘big picture’ view

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
