Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Wealth Digital Products and Proposition domain, supporting Order Management and Trading platform capabilities.

The role will focus on understanding business needs, analysing front-to-back order and trade lifecycle processes, translating requirements into clear delivery artefacts, and supporting successful implementation of platform enhancements. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, business stakeholders, front office, dealing, operations, compliance, risk, testing, and support teams to deliver practical, well-controlled, and scalable solutions.

While Equities experience is beneficial. We welcome candidates with strong Order Management System, trading platform, or trade lifecycle experience across similar asset classes such as Structured Products, Fixed Income, FX, Funds, or other investment products. The key requirement is the ability to analyse complex product and platform workflows, identify business and control impacts, and convert requirements into delivery-ready outcomes.

The Fixed Income BA role is broader and more suitable for candidates with strong Business Analysis capabilities, Agile delivery experience, and Fixed Income or Capital Markets product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration*

  • Drive the delivery and enhancement of Fixed Income trading platforms in line with the Wealth Digital Products roadmap, ensuring alignment with evolving business and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Product Owners and technology leaders to identify platform gaps, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and prioritise feature development based on business value and risk assessments.
  • Lead solution exploration to harmonise trading workflows, simplify order management processes, and improve operational efficiencies across multiple asset classes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of strategic initiatives aimed at digital innovation in trade execution and portfolio management.
  • Support prioritisation and delivery planning activities, ensuring readiness for successful platform enhancements and deployments.

Comprehensive Business Analysis & Delivery Support*

  • Conduct thorough requirements elicitation and validation from diverse stakeholders, including front office, dealing desks, advisory, compliance, operations, and technology teams.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, process diagrams, and control matrices that precisely translate business needs into development-ready formats.
  • Analyze and document the end-to-end trade lifecycle—covering order capture, validation, execution, allocation, booking, settlement, and reporting—ensuring that system changes are comprehensively scoped.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine backlogs, clarify acceptance criteria, and verify alignment with business outcomes and regulatory mandates.
  • Partner closely with engineering, testing, architecture, and support units throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure clarity and fidelity of requirements.
