Location: Astana, Kazakhstan

We are looking for a highly skilled Associate / Senior Associate to join our expanding M&A team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile transactions and provide strategic advisory services to leading local and international clients.

Our client is a reputable investment firm based in Kazakhstan, known for our expertise in M&A and portfolio company management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in M&A transactions (buy-side, sell-side, JVs, VC, and PE investments) across various industries, including inbound investments.
• Conduct valuations, financial modeling, comparable analysis, and benchmarking.
• Prepare detailed presentations, teasers, information memoranda, and other marketing materials.
• Perform comprehensive market analysis, strategy development, and strategic analysis.
• Support senior team members in negotiating non-binding and binding transaction documents.
• Manage and mentor analysts and trainees.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in finance or economics from a top-tier university; CFA certification is a plus.
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, and valuation within investment banks, in-house M&A teams, venture capital, private equity firms, or Big 4.
• Demonstrated expertise in valuation and financial modeling, with a strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Russian is essential; knowledge of Kazakh is advantageous.
• International experience is highly valued.
