EY GDS – Commercial Excellence – Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate in the Strategic Pricing & Insights team under Commercial Excellence, you will support financial and commercial activities for EY’s largest and most strategic opportunities. You will help pursuit teams in developing competitive pricing strategies, preparing cost-to-serve estimates, and creating client-facing proposals that enhance deal competitiveness and profitability. This role involves integrating competitive intelligence, supporting negotiation preparation, and contributing to commercial model design to accelerate client value while safeguarding EY’s margins.

Your key responsibilities

• Support pricing and commercial activities: Assist in preparing business cases and pricing models for large pursuits, ensuring accuracy and alignment with EY’s pricing standards. Developing charging models and creating client-facing proposals and presentations for complex pursuits.
• Perform financial modeling and cost-to-serve analysis: Build Excel-based financial models, validate solution estimates, and forecast deal economics using EY pricing tools.
• Integrate competitive intelligence: Collect and synthesize price, solution, and commercial benchmarks to inform positioning and differentiation of EY’s offerings.
• Prepare internal financial summaries and pricing analysis: Draft financial and commercial summaries for client discussions and internal reviews; support pursuit teams during negotiations.
• Break down pricing components: Contribute to price testing against market benchmarks, solution benchmarking for differentiation, and positioning strategies based on client willingness-to-pay.
• Support commercial model design: Help evaluate input-, output-, and outcome-based models, including risk-sharing and gainshare constructs, to accelerate client value while safeguarding EY’s margins.
• Conduct research and benchmarking: Gather market intelligence, competitor pricing insights, and economic indicators to refine price positioning and value articulation.
• Maintain pricing tools and templates: Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing assets and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams: Work effectively in a matrix environment, assist onboarding activities, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial support roles.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial modeling and budgeting.
• Exposure to professional services or pricing tools is an advantage.
• English language fluency (oral and written).
