What You Will Be Doing

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Senior Associate 3D Technical Designer to help drive the evolution of digital product creation across apparel, footwear, accessories, and hard goods categories. In this role, you will partner closely with Design, Technical Design, Product Creation, and other cross-functional teams to develop high-quality 3D assets that support product development, visualization, and digital transformation initiatives throughout the organization.

You will be responsible for creating realistic, production-ready 3D models and rendered assets that accurately represent product intent, materials, fit, and construction. Through a combination of technical expertise and design collaboration, you will translate product concepts into compelling digital assets while ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards.

A key component of the role will involve supporting and expanding the organization’s 3D asset libraries through the creation, optimization, and management of models across multiple product categories. You will also facilitate the conversion of 3D assets between platforms and applications, optimize textures and UV maps, and prepare assets for web, animation, and other digital experiences.

Working closely with product development and technical design teams, you will coordinate fabric digitization efforts, support garment fit analysis, and help establish standards, workflows, and best practices for 3D product creation. Your expertise will contribute to improving efficiency, accelerating product development timelines, and advancing the adoption of 3D capabilities across the business.

As a valued member of the digital product creation team, you will continuously explore emerging technologies, tools, and workflows that enhance product visualization and development processes. You will play an important role in driving innovation while helping teams maximize the value of 3D throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, 3D Design, Apparel Design, Footwear Design, Accessories Design, or a related field focused on digital modeling, rendering, sculpting, or product creation.
• 3+ years of experience in product design, industrial design, apparel, footwear, accessories, hard goods, or a related design discipline.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, modeling, sculpting, rendering, and developing assets within professional 3D digital applications.
• Advanced 3D design skills with the ability to support multiple product categories including apparel, footwear, accessories, and hard goods.
• Experience creating high-quality, photorealistic rendered assets and digital product visualizations for product creation, marketing, or consumer-facing applications.
• Strong knowledge of 3D apparel simulation and fabric draping tools, including CLO3D, Style3D, Browzwear VStitcher, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D modeling, texturing, and sculpting software such as Blender, Maya, Rhino, ZBrush, Adobe Substance Suite, or comparable applications.
• Demonstrated experience creating professional-quality renderings utilizing tools such as KeyShot, Cinema4D, Blender, or similar rendering platforms.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern analysis, fit evaluation, specification review, technical fit sessions, and parametric avatar utilization.
• Experience creating and managing 3D asset libraries while maintaining consistency, quality standards, and scalability across product categories.
• Knowledge of material digitization processes, fabric simulation, texture development, and digital asset management best practices.
• Strong understanding of HDRI maps, PBR workflows, UV mapping, texturing, rendering optimization, and other core 3D development principles.
• Experience converting, optimizing, and preparing 3D assets for multiple platforms, including web applications, animation, visualization tools, and digital commerce environments.
• Understanding of various 3D file formats, export methods, and their appropriate use cases across different technologies and applications.
• Knowledge of WebGL, interactive 3D visualization technologies, and web-based product viewing experiences.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Design, Technical Design, Product Creation, and other cross-functional teams while also working independently to meet business calendar milestones.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide recommendations that improve workflows, product visualization quality, and 3D capabilities across the organization.
• Experience supporting consumer product categories such as footwear, apparel, sports equipment, hard goods, or accessories is preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a strong desire to explore and adopt new 3D technologies, tools, and workflows.
• Ability to travel as needed to support business initiatives, project activities, and stakeholder collaboration.

Pay Range: $74,544.00-$92,945.00
