Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance (Project & Structured Finance) Practice at our Warsaw office.

Job Requirements:

• Drafting and Reviewing Documents Preparing draft finance documents (including facility agreements), legal opinions, direct agreements, escrow agreements, pay-off letters, standstill agreements and documents relating to satisfaction of conditions precedent, leading transactions under the supervision of partners.
• Transactional Support Advising clients on a variety of banking and finance transactional and out-of-court financial restructuring matters.
• Contract Negotiation Leading negotiations of finance documentation on behalf of clients under the supervision of partners.
• Transaction Closings Leading transaction closings, instructing and managing junior associates and paralegals involved in the matter.

We expect:

• A master’s degree in Polish law is required.
• Advocate or Attorney-at-Law status for at least 3 years.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience advising clients in the Banking & Finance transactional sector. Experience in out-of-court financial restructuring matters is a plus.
• Very good command of spoken and written Polish and English.
• Taking on responsibility and ownership for projects.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Very good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and a “can-do” attitude.
• A proactive, supportive and team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Interest in business development and a willingness to get involved will be a plus.

Greenberg Traurig's Project and Structured Finance practice in Warsaw is a leading team in the Polish market, recognized for its in-depth expertise in advising on complex financing transactions in various sectors. Our lawyers provide sophisticated legal support to lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investors, including Polish and foreign banks, multilateral agencies, private debt providers and international financial institutions. The team has been involved in some of the most significant financing projects in Poland and the wider Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, including major bank lending transactions and private debt financings, financial restructurings, renewable energy projects, real estate investments and cross-border transactions.

Led by Piotr Nerwiński, the practice focuses on project finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, sustainability loans and other types of structured finance transactions. It is particularly renowned for its expertise in renewable energy finance, having advised on landmark transactions involving large-scale wind farms and photovoltaic (PV) power plant portfolios in Poland and other CEE countries. The team also has experience in financial restructurings.
