The aim of AKU-IED is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of schools and other educational institutions in the country through innovation, policy development, practice, training and research.The assignment aims to develop a structured, inclusive, and low-literacy-friendly parental engagement curriculum and supplementary learning materials that enable parents and caregivers to meaningfully support children’s early learning, school readiness, and holistic development in ECE and Grades 1–2.This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position.Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:provide administrative and logistic support in organising and coordinating general, academic, and project-related activities of IEDperform data entry and data management and extract reports from project data as assigned by the project PIsassist PIs and other project staff in finalising reports, presentations, and other documentsmanage project accounts and ensure timely submission of petty cash vouchers, disbursements, and summary reportsprocess ROPs, travel and field advances, expense claims and summary reports, contractual staff wages, leave forms, accommodation and food requisitions, online purchase and material stock requisitions, and online travel request forms, with timely follow-upsmaintain proper records of all fixed assets, equipment, general office supplies and stationery, and other project materials, ensuring their availability, proper handling and issuance, and timely receipt by userscoordinate with IT and Maintenance departments to initiate IT- and maintenance-related complaints and ensure timely follow-ups for their resolution.
You should have:a BS in Social or Natural Sciences from a reputable national or international universityat least one year of experience, preferably in performing tasks related to day-to-day project operationsproficiency in using computers and a range of software, especially MS Office, SPSS, and videoconferencing platforms such as Zoomability to manage assigned tasks according to timelinesability to work both independently and as a team memberability to be flexible, patient, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentgood organisational and planning skills.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
