Summary:
This position assists the Director of Golf and Co-Head Golf Professionals with all activities relating to the management
and service of all club golf operations. Works with little supervision and accentuates teamwork throughout the Golf
Department. This position embodies the Carolina Country Club Mission Statement and Absolutes.

Job Functions include:
- Under the supervision of the Director of Golf and Co-Head Golf Professionals, assists in day to day operations of the Golf Department - which includes management of golf shop, range, bagroom, carts, staging deck, cart barn, and various other business activities.
- Assists with the hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring of golf shop and member services staff according to established club policy and procedures.
- Supports golf shop inventory management, retail transactions, special orders, and orderly appearance of retail space.
- Assists with planning of instructional programs, tournament calendar, and social events.
- Conducts private and group instruction for adults and juniors.
- Admin and fluent with all Golf Genius programming for club tournaments.
- Create and draft various reports with NorthStar POS.
- Contribute to short and long range planning, as it relates to golf facility enhancements.
- Maintain regular, open communication with the Director of Golf and Professional Staff to ensure optimal teamwork.
- Assist members with golf and club rules – as it relates to interpretation and enforcement.
- Attend group staff meetings.
- Contribute and assist with “Golf Traditions” segments and relevant content.
- Oversight on Club Repair operation.
- Provides golf-related content for the club newsletter.
- Will be visible throughout our golf operations providing a friendly environment for members.
- Participate in sectional, national and educational meetings to encourage development and enrich club reputation.
- When competing in golf tournaments, will represent the club in a professional manner.
- Adhere to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and employment.
- Complete required computer based training courses through CLI within the required time frame.
- Cognizant of CCC Employee Policies and Mission Statement.

QualificationsWorking Conditions, Physical Functions, Requirements and Abilities:

- 3+ years of Assistant Professional experience.
- Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing.
- Demonstrate essential knowledge of golf facility management.
- Possess the skills and personality to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere that meets or exceeds the exacting standards of our members.
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and increase member usage.
- Appropriate supervisory practices and principles.
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all club staff.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal business communications.
- Experienced computer skills – to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Canva, and similar platforms.
- Maintain a credible golf game.
- Job duties will require the employee to spend 50% of working hours outdoors and will require employee to frequently stand, walk, run, bounce, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for several hours per day.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to push, pull or lift using golf equipment.
