Job Description

Imagine a future where you shape how world-class renewable energy assets are operated through industry-leading asset management practices and continuous improvement

Join us in this role where you’ll drive the development and continuous improvement of asset operations frameworks across our global renewable energy portfolio. You’ll provide specialist expertise on asset management, governance, performance optimisation, and operational excellence, helping ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Working closely with stakeholders across functions and regions, you’ll support consistent implementation of best practices and enable continuous performance improvement.

Welcome to Global Operational Excellence

You’ll be part of Generation Asset Operation System where you together with your colleagues will develop and maintain asset management frameworks, standards, processes, and governance that support operational excellence across our global renewable energy assets. You’ll work closely with operational, engineering, digital, commercial, and compliance teams, supporting initiatives that strengthen performance, reliability, and business value across regions. As a team, we collaborate openly, support one another’s growth, and are passionate about creating lasting improvements that help shape a sustainable future.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • acting as Generation’s subject matter expert for asset operations methodologies, frameworks, and governance
  • developing and continuously improving the Generation Asset Operations System
  • maintaining asset management standards, processes, tools, and performance frameworks
  • identifying opportunities to improve maintenance strategies, operational processes, systems, and planning approaches
  • facilitating cross-functional improvement initiatives, workshops, and operational excellence programmes
  • analysing asset performance trends and recommending improvement actions that enhance operational outcomes.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong experience within asset management, operations, maintenance, or operational excellence in an asset-intensive industry
  • bring deep knowledge of asset management frameworks, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational governance
  • can use data, insights, and performance trends to identify opportunities and drive improvements
  • communicate complex concepts clearly and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • have completed a degree in engineering, asset management, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • thrive in collaborative environments where you influence change and support continuous improvement through partnership and engagement.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

About Ørsted

Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world.

Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy.

We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder.

As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.
