Senior Asset Management Consultant – Program Lead (Expat)

Location: DRC (Site-Based, Rotation)

Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Asset Management Consultant (Program Lead) to lead a regional asset reliability and maintenance transformation program for our client's mining operations.

About the Role

This is a leadership role responsible for driving the implementation of a structured Asset Reliability and Maintenance Management Operating Model across multiple sites.

You will work closely with senior leadership and site teams to coordinate key workstreams, ensure alignment, and embed sustainable maintenance and reliability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall technical leadership across the asset reliability program
  • Coordinate and align key workstreams, including:
  • Shutdown Management
  • Maintenance / Work Management
  • Defect Elimination
  • Single Point of Failure (SPOF) Management
  • Support development and execution of the regional implementation roadmap
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability
  • Lead by example through hands-on implementation, coaching, and mentoring
  • Ensure consistency of processes, standards, and practices across sites
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in asset management, maintenance, or reliability engineering
  • Strong leadership experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry
  • Proven track record in implementing reliability or maintenance improvement programs
  • Experience managing multi-site or regional projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Previous expat experience in Africa highly preferred
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Preferred Certifications (Advantageous):CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
  • CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
  • ISO 55000 Asset Management certification
  • RCM / RCA certifications
