We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Director, Fixed Income Advisor - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Director, Fixed Income Advisor - C15) based in Hong Kong or Singapore. Citi Wealth is seeking a senior Fixed Income professional to expand the Asia Fixed Income Advisory / Direct to Desk team within its Global Capital Markets organization. This team is responsible for developing and communicating clear, compelling fixed income strategies, thematic investment ideas, and actionable trade recommendations for Wealth clients across the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will serve as a resource for Citi Wealth's internal advisor network in Asia and will build a direct book of tagged UHNW clients, to whom they will provide real-time fixed income strategy, trade ideas, and portfolio guidance through a direct, high-touch, relationship-driven service.

In this role, you’re expected to:

Fixed Income Strategy & Idea Generation

• Develop fixed income investment narratives for Citi Wealth Asia clients, encompassing thematic views, tactical trade ideas, and actionable recommendations across Asian and global rates and credit markets.
• Provide specific, targeted advice on building and optimizing clients’ fixed income holdings, managing portfolio duration and credit risk, and leveraging thematic and tactical opportunities.
• Participate in product due diligence for fixed income products distributed within Citi Wealth Asia, ensuring adherence to investment, risk, and regulatory standards.

Client Coverage & Business Development

• Build and serve a direct book of tagged UHNW clients, providing real-time fixed income strategy, trade ideas, and portfolio guidance through a direct, high-touch, relationship-driven service.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Sales teams to identify client service opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships and drive broader use of fixed income products and strategies.

Advisor Enablement

• Act as a central fixed income resource for Citi Wealth's internal advisor network in Asia, offering market insights, trade ideas, and client-ready content.
• Create and deliver high-quality fixed income commentary, curated lists, presentations, and live market updates, to drive advisor engagement and client action.
• Conduct regular internal training sessions, market briefings, and investment forums to enhance fixed income knowledge and confidence among the advisor community.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Support the APAC Head of Fixed Income Advisory in day-to-day team management, by promoting a collaborative culture and helping to developing talent.
• Demonstrate a performance-oriented mindset for junior staff to emulate, focused on business growth, client impact, and intellectual rigor.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in fixed income markets, research, or advisory roles within a financial institution, private bank, or wealth management platform, with significant Asia Pacific exposure.
• Demonstrated experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth private wealth clients on fixed income strategy and implementation in an Asia Pacific context.
• Strong product knowledge across global rates and credit markets, including Asian investment-grade and high-yield credit, emerging market debt, government, and quasi-sovereign securities.
• Proven ability in fixed income product due diligence processes, including the assessment of structured products, credit instruments, and fund-based solutions.
• Expertise in articulating complex market information into clear, actionable fixed income advice for clients and advisors.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills to effectively convey Citi Wealth's fixed income views at internal and client events.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks across key APAC jurisdictions, including SFC (Hong Kong) and MAS (Singapore) licensing requirements.
• Possession of relevant regional licenses (e.g., SFC Type 4 / Type 1 in Hong Kong, or MAS-regulated representative status in Singapore), or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
• Asian language proficiency is an advantage.
